Short vacation is over! Last meeting, I'm late! I mean we're late. It took us so long in the internet cafe for our project in English II, a task given by ma'am Lynnie to keep us busy last week for she was not around. And thanks to ma'am Lynnie for the extension of the deadline. And thank God we're almost done. By the way, welcome back ma'am Lynnie.
Last meeting, we discussed more about writing thesis statements, how to make sentences more specific, how to identify those. She grouped us, and gave us an activity. Well... It's kinda difficult for our group for we have different ideas but it was still fine, my group mates are open-minded and I can easily get along with them. And next meeting would be the last for this year. So excited for this coming Christmas break, can't wait! Good news is that our prelim exam would be next year, in our next meeting. We can have more time for studying. Great! Advance Merry Christmas to all!

Lesson for us to Learn
Last meeting, that was Tuesday, I.T students were supposed to be excuse in their classes in order for us to attend the Iligan City Computing Fair hosted by our college, the School of Computer Studies. But some of my block mates and I still chose to attend our class in English II.
It was the checking of our assignment and learning more about the topic sentences. I've learned a lot. But one lesson that I've learned aside from those topic sentences, main topic and its controlling idea was, I should follow the so called “instructions in the book”. Our assignment in page 15 is that, we should determine the topic sentences in each paragraphs and identify its position in the sentence. But, as I’ve said, some of us including me did not follow the instructions in the book, because we were thinking that our teacher just said that we will just identify the topic sentences. It's really a lesson for us to learn. Well, I’ll probably get a low score for that mistake but luckily our classmates forgive us for that and gave us two points instead of one. And we’re so thankful to them. Lucky I have a classmates like them.

Read and Write
Writing is one of those activities which I'm not really fond of. I admit that I have this difficulties in expressing and sharing ideas through writing. But I prefer writing English than speaking orally. Maybe I still don't have enough confidence to face the crowd and speak using the international language. It kinda makes me feel nervous. In writing, I have this problem in mind that I don't know how to express my ideas using those flowering and unique words that others have to make the composition more pleasing to read. It makes me feel weak. It makes me think that my writings are not appropriate in my stage, because I'm just using those common English words, it's overused. Well... having this English II subject gives me the eagerness to read and read and read and read, for me to learn new words and help me enhance my skills in writing. I'll just do my very best to develop this skill which I'm not good in doing it.

I'm on English II
Second semester is on. New classmates, teachers, subjects and learning. English II is one of those new subjects I have which is more on writing. Well… let me tell you something about my first week in my English II class. Our first meeting was the signing of student’s C.O.R, and our teacher was giving us some information about the said subject and what to do in our class. One of it was we should speak straight English. That doesn’t surprise me actually, that actually makes me silent in the class. Our teacher really speaks well, she speaks straight English. And that makes me think that she’s really a good teacher. Our teacher gave us assignment to write and think about a certain topic and its subtopics. In our second meeting, she let us share in the class our chosen topics, and group ourselves according to the topic we have. I’m glad to have Ivy Diane, Jerson and Ronnel as my group mates. Ivy’s not new to me because she’s an old and good friend of mine. Jerson and Ronnel are so bubbly and intelligent. They both came from Agusan which Ivy and I also belong. And that makes us feel comfortable with each other. I’ve found new friends!Oh! I almost forgot sharing to you guys this tasks that was given to us by our teacher, it’s actually blogging which I‘m doing now. Honestly, I do really have these difficulties in sharing ideas through writing, I don’t write well. But I don’t consider it as a burden in me. It’s actually a lesson for me to learn. I’m glad to be in this section. No more, no less, so how was yours?
